Meine geliebten Vier!
Eben kommen Euere l. Zeilen meine geliebten
Freimark s & wie sehr habe ich mich damit ge-
freut. Nicht weniger aber auch mit den Eurigen
meine l. Timer s, die schon vor 8 Tagen ein-
trefen. Gestern war Frau Jüngster bei mir
& erzählte mir, daß Ihr mit ihrer Schwester,
Frau Wolff, beisammen waret. Vor einigen
Tagen wurde mir vom Hilfsverein die mit-
teilung, daß Ihr nunmehr, das Geld vom
Joint zurückgezogen habt. Nur die Fahrt bis
zum Einschiffungshafen ließ man stehen, so
würde das im Allgemeinen gehandhabt, sagte
man mir. Nun war ich natürlich sehr erstaunt
als ich von der Zurücknahme das Geldes hörte, da
du l. Paula einige Tage vorher schriebst, Ihr
würdet das Geld beim Joint stehen lassen.
Doch ich überlasse die Sache ganz Euch, jedenfalls
weißt Ihr besser als ich, was für meine Aus-
wanderung am vorteilhaftesten zu geschehen
hat. Ich hörte von verschiedenen Seiten, daß man
die A. C. Bescheinigung, daß ist die Bestätigung

das Consulats, daß die Papiere in Ordnung gehen,
fotocopieren lassen & seinen Angehörigen
einschicken solle. Wenn dem so ist, so werde
auch ich es tun. Ich nehme an, daß Ihr wieder
nun buchen wollt. Wenn ja, setzet Euch dieser
halb mit Martin in Verbindung, vielleicht
könnt Ihr dann gleich für uns drei Platze
bekommen. Ich nehme deshalb eine Neubuchung
an, weil Ihr vom Joint das Geld zurück-
gezogen habt. Wie geht es Euch denn sonst
meine Lieben, seid Ihr alle gesund? Hat Euch
die Hitze recht zugesetzt? Seit einigen Tagen
ist es nun hier nicht mehr so heiß, was bin
ich froh darum. Kälte kann ich viel leichter er-
tragen, als Hitze. Nun wollen wir halt
sehen, was weiter in der Auswanderungs-
frage geschehen kann. Ich glaube das Ihr
drüben alles veranlassen müßt & daß Ihr
nichts versäumen werdet das weiß ich.
Ist Cuba nicht diskutabel? Für heute innige

I enjoyed myself so much, dear Freimarks, with your dear lines that just arrived. Also, no less with yours my dear Timers, that arrived 8 days ago. Mrs. Jüngster was here yesterday and told me that you were together with her sister Mrs. Wolff. Several days ago I was informed by the Aid Society that, as of now, you have withdrawn the money from Joint. Only the trip to the departure harbor was left standing, which they told me, is the way it is generally handled. Naturally I was astounded to hear that the money was withdrawn, since you wrote several days ago, dear Paula, that the money would be left with Joint. Still, I totally leave everything to you, in any case you know better than me what has to be done that would be most advantageous for my emigration. I heard from different sources that the A. C. Certification which is the confirmation

from the Consulate, that the papers are in order and should be photocopied and one’s family should send them in. If that is so, then I will also do that. I assume that you again want to book. If yes, then get in contact with Martin, maybe then you can get places for the three of us at the same time. I assume it will be a new booking since you took the money back from Joint. Otherwise, how are things with you my loved ones, are you all healthy? Did the heat bother you very much? For several days now it has not been so hot here anymore, which I am glad about. I can tolerate the cold much better than the heat. Now let us see what more can be done about the question of emigration. I believe that everything has to be arranged over there by you and that you will not miss anything, that I know. Is Cuba not debatable? For today tender regards and kisses from your Mu.
